What You’ll Stream This Weekend on Netflix: TV Edition
I’m splitting this week’s Weekend Netflix posts up because, well, there’s a metric asston of TV shows hitting the streaming service on April 1st.
The list, which follows below, is mostly comprised of titles from the recent CBS deal. However, one series touted in every article about said deal, Star Trek, is nowhere to be found.
While there’s a great deal to recommend on this list, if you’ve never seen Twin Peaks you have no reason not to watch it now. Seriously, if you don’t stream this show I will hate you. Forever.
Added to Netflix Instant on or before April 1st, 2011:
- Accidentally on Purpose: Season 1
- Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Volumes 1-3
- Ally McBeal: Seasons 1-5
- The Andy Griffith Show: Seasons 1-8
- Beauty and the Beast: Seasons 1-3
- Cheers: Seasons 1-11
- Family Ties: Seasons 1-2
- Flashpoint: Seasons 1-3
- The Ghost Whisperer: Seasons 1-5
- Glee: Season 1
- Harper’s Island: The Complete Series
- Hawaii Five-O: Seasons 1-10
- Jericho: Seasons 1-2
- MacGyver: Seasons 1-4 and 7
- Medium: Seasons 1-6
- Melrose Place: Seasons 1-7 and Melrose Place 2.0
- MI:5 Season 5 and 8
- Mission Impossible: Seasons 1-7
- Numbers: Seasons 1-6
- Saving Grace: Seasons 1-3
- Sons of Anarchy: Seasons 1-2
- Stephen King’s Golden Years
- Three Rivers: Season 1
- Top Gear: Seasons 2-8, 14-15
- The Twilight Zone: 17 of the first 36 episodes
- Twin Peaks: Seasons 1-2
- Waking the Dead: Seasons 2 and 5
- Wings: Seasons 3-8
I’m not sure why we don’t get the first two seasons of Wings, or why the initial selection of Twilight Zone episodes is so puny. But now you can watch Harrison Ford’s episode of Young Indy or watch them try to kill off Major Dad in every freaking episode of Jericho.
But if you don’t watch Twin Peaks, at least the pilot, I will hate you forever.

As per usual, it’s always hard to decypher the Netflix matrix and figure out what’s really going on. But as it turns out, Wings Seasons 1 and 2 are also available, as are many more episodes of The Twilight Zone than I initially reported.
